Triton Liners completed a three week fuel tank restoration on a 1993 Halvorsen 49′ at Owl Creek Boat Works in Alva, Florida. The project involved rebuilding two (2) 400-gallon steel saddle tanks that showed heavy sludge buildup and corrosion. Bringing tanks like these back into service takes more than basic repair work. It requires thorough cleanup, skilled reconstruction, and careful testing to make sure the system is ready for reliable use again.
In this case, the results were especially strong. Once the rebuild was complete, both tanks were pressure tested, recertified, and returned to serviceable condition. That means renewed confidence in a critical part of the vessel and a clear example of how the right repair process can extend the life of existing equipment.
